With songs – traditional and new – about everything from minibeasts and native animals to planting and growing, sessions are fun, friendly and hands-on.

There’s also the opportunity to create and play junk instruments along to family favourites like:

  • There’s A Worm At The Bottom Of My Garden

  • When The Red, Red Robin Comes Bob, Bob, Bobbing Along

  • Five Little Speckled Frogs

  • There’s A Tiny Caterpillar On A Leaf

  • In And Out The Dusty Bluebells

  • Five Little Ducks Went Swimming One Day

And with a host of beautiful original songs as well – Wildflowers In The Grass, Owl Babies, Flutter By, Dig Your Spade In and more – little smashers and their families are in for a musical treat!

Why not book your own Bangers & Smash wildlife session?

If you’re an outdoor or arts setting – or a parent, carer, nursery or children’s centre – and would like to discuss setting up one or more wildlife sessions, please get in touch here.

Sessions are led by Kitty Pidduck (guitar/voice) and there’s also the option of bringing in Bangers & Smash co-founder, Sarah Allen (flute/accordion), or another musician if budget allows!

What families and settings are saying

‘The children were so enthusiastic about your visit this week. They were singing me some songs and doing actions too.’
Di Wallace, Mother Goose Wildlife Garden and Centre for Wildlife Gardening

'Lovely music, wreath-making, an open fire and mince pies.'
'So much! Making the wreaths, the company, the singing, the children love running around enjoying the grounds, the chickens, all the things to learn.'
‘We love Carols in the Wildlife Garden. We come every year.’
‘My daughter instructed me that if you ever have any other events, we have to go. She loved it!’

Parents and members of the local community, Carols in the Wildlife Garden event, Mother Goose Wildlife Garden

‘I bring my grandchildren to events here and this was one of the best for this age group I’ve seen!’
Margot, volunteer, Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses

'Huge thanks for all your support this term. The children and team have really enjoyed your music sessions and our Christmas Play definitely wouldn’t have been the same without your expertise.’
The Team, School Outdoors Dulwich
